If you are like me, it's somewhere where time is no longer a concern while your eyes are peeled to each passing word in your book, gazed upon your mobile device or even your surroundings. My favorite coffee shops are relaxing and allows me to think profoundly while enjoying the ambiance. There is quiet music in the background and calming colors all around with the feeling of getting away from the pressures of life. My favorite coffee shops inspire me and allow me to imagine which brings out my most creative side. And since I'm Cancerian, a coffee shop near peaceful waters (particularly a lake) always win.
Well, I didn't see any of these simple amenities in the Business Insider's List of 10 Most Beautiful Starbucks. The stores chosen were nice, engulfed with beautiful and contemporary architectural designs, however that's not what I'm looking for in a coffee shop. And, Starbucks is still a coffee shop, right?! (laughing.) The Starbucks stores I loved most that made the list were both located in Singapore (offering simplicity and near trees.) The Starbucks located on the Swiss train is beautiful as well... however, people are still on the go (laughing harder this time.) The Starbucks store listed that is located in Dubai has a variation of colors and patterns which appears too busy. In my opinion, it does not offer il bel far niente ("the beauty of doing nothing") and reinforces the idea that we, too, must be busy. Starbucks is the largest coffeehouse business in the world. There are 23,187 stores in 64 countries, including 12,973 in the United States, 1,897 in China, 1,550 in Canada, 1,088 in Japan and 927 in the United Kingdom. However, from the Business Insider's List of 10 Most Beautiful Starbucks we wouldn't know that there are Starbucks stores that value the simple things we love most in coffee shops as consumers: relaxation, laughs with friends and an environment to enjoy earth's glory. Therefore, I searched for a Starbucks I felt should have made the list. In my opinion, it is the most beautiful Starbucks in the world and it's now on my list of places to go. This Starbucks is located in a trendy village along the Bosphorus called Bebek, Instanbul in Europe. It's surrounded by water and what appears to be a laid-back atmosphere. It's not the most fancy, but it is the most beautiful.
